We are sending you a brief update with some news.
First of all, we are delighted to announce the birth of Theodore Dresher Stuart Jerdan on September 19th. That is a big name for a 7 lb. 1 oz. little boy, and we are delighted to welcome him into the family. His parents Jonathan and Sara seem to be relishing their new-parent status. We are so looking forward to meeting our 8th grandchild in just a few days. Yay!
Thank you for praying for Diane as she speaks next weekend to the Reformed Episcopal Spiritual Enrichment Conference in Williamsburg VA. Her theme will be “Our times are in His hands”.
We also want to let you know about a modification in our ministry schedule for this winter. In our last note we mentioned the specific need in the international congregation in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, at the end of the year. We just learned that an interim pastor is now serving in that fellowship, so that means our services will not be needed there over the Christmas season. We rejoice that this very special group of people is now receiving more regular pastoral care.
This schedule change allows us to concentrate more on our mission in West Africa during the first two weeks of December. We do request your upholding us in prayer so that the courses we prepare in French will be encouraging, helpful, and well-adapted to the needs of the pastors ministering in three African countries. We will be leaving for this mission exactly one week after Thanksgiving.
Thank you again for your support and prayers.
Diane & Bill Jerdan
